Welcome to 2012-13 School Year! This is my 24th year in education, and my fifth year as the Innovative Learning Specialist for the Kimberly Area School District. Prior to this position, I taught for five years at Kimberly High School and before that I taught in seven other schools around Wisconsin. I am very excited to help teachers integrate technology into their curriculum and to meet the needs of 21st century learners!
This year all of the schools as KASD have wireless capability. What does this mean for our students and our learning? With a mobile device in the hands of students they have the world at their fingertips! Last year's pilots with the iPod Touch devices and Netbooks at Westside were very successful and as we continue to monitor the effectiveness of this venture, we will also expand to the other elementary schools.
It is a very exciting time for us in the district as we embrace technology and use it to enhance student learning. The pages above will provide updates, newsletters, as well as general information.
